We're thrilled to announce that the pledge manager for Philharmonix is now officially open! By now, you should have already received an email from BackerKit with a link to the pledge manager, where you can confirm your pledges, select your add-ons, and finalize your shipping details. This is your opportunity to ensure that all your choices are accurately recorded and to make any necessary adjustments to your order.

If you don't see the email for the pledge manager in your inbox, please check your spam or junk folder, as it can sometimes end up there.

Here are a few tips on how the pledge manager works that provide you with some essential details you need to know:

  • Creating a BackerKit account is not necessary to complete your survey. Simply click the survey link provided in the email to respond.
  • Within the survey, you can confirm or upgrade your pledge, provide shipping information, and even purchase additional items if desired.
  • It's worth noting that you can revisit your survey and modify your shipping address at any time before the survey closes and orders are locked in.
  • If you need to review your information or pledge status, you can access your survey by clicking the survey link in the email or by requesting your survey link here.
  • If you have used your Facebook credentials to log in to your Kickstarter account, please note that the BackerKit survey will be sent to the email address associated with your Facebook account.
  • Very Important for Apple ID users: If you used an Apple ID to make the Kickstarter pledge, chances are you will not see the email from Backerkit. If you don't have the email, please write us at [email protected] and provide your regular email address so we can update you in the system.  
  • As you know, we are an Australian registered company, and the pledge manager naturally is in Australian Dollars (AU$). So, when you're making your choices and finalizing your order, all prices will be shown in AU$. We apologize if this causes any confusion.

We are happy to inform you that we are nearing the finish line on pre-production for Philharmonix as we confirm production assets with the design team. Soon, we plan to send the game files to our manufacturer so we can order one final sample before we start mass manufacturing. Philharmonix Status Update and Timeline

Greetings maestros!

First and foremost, I want to extend my sincerest apologies for the delay in this update. Our silence has been the result of intense focus and hard work, not a lack of progress or commitment. Rest assured, we have been fully dedicated to making Philharmonix the best game it can be.

Expanded Team

To ensure we meet our high standards and timelines, we have expanded our team, adding more talented eyes and hands to the project. This additional support has been instrumental in accelerating our progress and refining the game. Our new team members say hi!

Major Updates and Enhancements

We are thrilled to share that we've significantly improved the game's graphics and rules. Our graphic design and development team has poured countless hours into enhancing the visual experience and ruleset, ensuring that every detail contributes to the immersive world of Philharmonix. Most notable updates include:

  • Shrinking the size of the map (main) board as much as possible without losing the important details. I believe we managed to shorten one of the sides by 10cm!
  • Added a few legends on the main board and iconography that will make it easier for players to remember certain phases of the game.
  • Added Influence - a new mechanic that checks your influence in each region and rewards points at the end of the game (you earn influence in a region by performing concerts there, hiring musicians etc).
  • Added multiple end of round tiles - now each end of round will have different bonuses instead having the same bonuses each time.
  • We have reworked the graphics on many of the components to make them more clear - most notably on the player boards.

Pledge Manager Launch

We know many of you are eagerly awaiting the launch of the pledge manager. We are currently finalizing a few details regarding fulfillment rates to ensure everything is perfectly set up. We anticipate launching the pledge manager very soon and will notify you immediately when it goes live of course.

Timeline and Fulfillment

We are on track with our timeline and remain committed to delivering Philharmonix on schedule. Our goal is to complete the manufacturing of the game well before our delivery deadline of May 2025. We are optimistic that fulfillment will begin within this year, allowing you to enjoy Philharmonix as soon as possible.

Timeline and Pledge Manager Info

Since many of you have asked about the pledge manager and what follows, allow me to explain it:

First, the timeline isn't exactly set in stone, however we expect to open the pledge manager in the next few months. If you aren't familiar with pledge managers, a pledge manager is a platform that we use to gather address info from backers as well as collect the shipping/tax fees for your pledges. In addition, you will be able to add the add-ons like Galactic Festival to your pledge and we always try to offer some of our other games there too, so you can add them to your pledge. 

We will notify you all via an update/email when we open the pledge manager, so don't worry for now, your pledge is set!

Thanks to your awesome support during the last days of the campaign, we have unlocked yet another stretch goal - the Deluxe Player Plaques!

Two New Stretch Goals

In the meantime, we opened two more stretch goals and we believe we can unlock them together! Let's get this done on the final day and end this campaign with a fantastic crescendo!

Last 4 days of the campaign + Game Development info!

Hello maestros and managers!

I hope you had a wonderful week and are preparing for a great weekend.

We just wanted to give a quick update as we are entering the final days of the campaign.

First of all, thank you all for your amazing support and for sticking with us until the end. Without you, this game will not be a reality. Please know that we appreciate your support a lot!

Now, let's check what we have done so far together!

As you can see, the stretch goal box is getting stuffed! We still have a few days left to unlock the final two stretch goals, and of course, if the tempo picks up, we will have even more stuff to include there!

Game Development is Finished!

We are happy to say that the development of the game is finished! Until the last minute, we were trying out some stuff that will streamline the gameplay even further and we think you are going to love it!

Some changes include how you get the "area control" bonus from the regions at the end of the game, now it's even more interactive by introducing the influence tracks on the board itself. Additional changes are mostly in regards to visual elements (icons etc), and rules and how they are explained, so we hope all of this will boil down to a great player experience. Of course, we will share the final rules with you once we have them ready.

We are also working on reducing the size of the main board, and we made it more compact so it can fit a regular table more easily! Check out the art of the board below, without icons, as we are going to add those and finish the board during the next week:

Finally, our plan is to have all the assets ready by the end of March/beginning of April so we cna send them to our factory, get a new sample of the game, and hopefully start manufacturing during April/May. With this said, we really believe we can have the game out to backers later this year! Hopefully, we won't have any huge unplanned delays.

We hope you like this update, and hope we gave you a good glimpse of what we were doing for the past few weeks. We are determined to have the most complete game and we worked hard to accomplish that over this period. We hope you can appreciate the effort and you will have fun with the final version of the game, once it arrives to your doorstep.
